The Woodenelves’ frontman Travis Caudle has joined a prestigious list of musicians including Jeff Buckley, John Lennon, Rufus Wainwright and Bob Dylan, with one of his songs appearing in US sci-fi TV drama Flash Forward.
The track “All I Want”, from The Woodenelves’ album “Trips Between Worlds”, produced by ARIA-nominated producer Tim Powles, features on episode 21 of the show that airs in the US this Thursday May 20.
The opportunity came through his deal with LA-based synch placement and music supervision agency Undercover Tracks, run by Isabel Pappani – a former VP of Creative for Festival Mushroom Records.
“The placement of Travis’ song into Flash Forward is our latest Australian success story – in recent months we’ve had Brisbane buzz band Hungry Kids of Hungary appearing on Grey's Anatomy as well as a promo for the show Royal Pains, the now New York-based Melbourne act Luluc appearing in Grey’s for the second time, and Bertie Blackman featuring in Gossip Girl, amongst others,” she said.
The Flash Forward placement comes just ahead of the singer/songwriter relocating to the US for the northern summer and follows on from college radio airplay for his latest album “Signals”, also produced by Powles.
Other Australian acts to have had tracks featured on US TV on the back of working with Undercover Tracks include Powderfinger, Eskimo Joe, Princess One Point Five, Borne and Grand Atlantic.
Before he heads back to the US, Travis will play shows across the June long weekend in Western Australia.
Friday June 4 – Peel Alehouse, Halls Head @ 7.30pm
Saturday June 5 @ Bootleg Brewery, Margaret River @ 2pm
Sunday June 6 @ Old Coast Road Brewery @ 1pm
Monday June 7 @ Colonial Brewery, Margaret River @ 1.30pm

After his last trip to Melbourne saw him make a surprise guest appearance on stage with The Church’s Steve Kilbey, The Woodenelves' Travis Caudle will this time team up with two local musicians for an intimate acoustic gig at the Wesley Anne.
On the back of a busy few months of touring up and down the west coast, Caudle will support Melbourne’s Ryan Meeking and Simon Phillips on Saturday November 22 at the Northcote venue.
He also plays an early slot at The Espy’s Front Bar on Wednesday November 26 and at Mr Hyde in Geelong on Sunday November 23.
The shows come ahead of the singer/songwriter settling in to record a second album in Sydney at Spacejunk Production House under the guidance of drummer/producer Tim Powles.
Caudle, who’s been writing heavily since The Woodenelves released their debut album Trips Between Worlds in May last year, will be giving his new material a final live airing before putting the songs down in the studio.
